Hello countrymen,
You must be watching the entire event, which is going on in the national capital. The entire nation and world is watching this nasty game of politics. The MPs are being sold and purchased at the price fixed either by the MPs themselves or by the buyers. Even the bukkies have started tagging price for MPs and Political parties. The price tag of MPs also depend of the bargaining power of the MP concerned.Every one is trying to extract as much price and he or she can. No political party is exception to jittery. Even, the so-called cadre based parties like CPM and CPI are not exceptions. It seems that the parliament has turned into an stock market or better call it ' a sabji or vegetable mandi.' The kahbariya channels are minting money by serving the these News, coated and blended with all kinds of masala to make it more palatable and hot for the middle class viewers. Panel discussions are going on, in which the so-called experts are predicting and analysing the future of this country. Surprisingly, none is attacking on the root cause of this problem. The kind of political system, ie the parliamentary form of democracy which we have adopted, is wheather or not suitable for India is not being debated upon. The present system of governance is based on numbers and not on mandates. Does any one ask that who has given mandates to persons like Prakash Karat, A.B.Bardhan, Amar Singh, Sitaram yechury, Dr.Manmohan Singh, Devegowda and host of such leaders who themselves are not elected by the people of this country, to decide the fate of billions of Indian.Who has given them power to play with the pockets of the persons living below poverty line, because after all, who will bear the cost of a pre-poned election. What kind of democracy is this, in which the fate of nation is being decided by those who have not even been elected to panchayats. Time has come ,when every Indian must ask, that, is this system based on number games should contiue or should it be changed? Let the citizen of this country decide, who would head the government. Let a system be adopted or evolved in which head of the executive be elected directly by the electorates and not by horse trading in the parliament. I think, that the present crisis is more a system failure than a political malaise.
